Ciaran has over twenty years  experience in the property industry, starting as a Chartered Land &, Development Surveyor before becoming National Acquisitions Manager of a FTSE 250 PLC, where he acquired and developed over 200 new retail facilities, refurbished to the highest standards in line with strategic aims for growth within the business. He also produced many “state-of-the-art” new build crematoria and service centres throughout the UK. He was soon promoted to Group Head of Property and oversaw the management of the extensive property estate, including 850 retail units, 46 crematoria, and many commercial and residential premises. He turned a struggling and under-resourced Property team into a thriving support network for the operational business. He ensured flawless delivery of high-quality services per policies/procedures by overseeing all property acquisitions and development projects.

Ciaran became the Group Property Director of a sizeable specialist adult care group. He developed a multifaceted Property team from scratch in a fast-growing company. He acquired and produced many high-quality new care homes/facilities during a global pandemic, ensuring project delivery against financial targets, Timelines, approvals, construction, and quality objectives. He headed up multi-site developments from inception to completion valued from £500,000 to £12 million.

In early 2022, Ciaran set up Nolan Property Holdings Ltd to provide consultation to several retained clients in various sectors, including renewable energy, retail, industrial, care and retirement living. Working as a Consultant Director with BTS, he advises on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) development and has negotiated many property/land acquisitions on their behalf. Ciaran is also a Consultant Director of Creative Retail where he advises on energy services.

Ciaran’s primary interest is in energy efficiency through sustainable design and construction in sectors that need to improve within the built environment. He believes that being economical and efficient with our energy is one of the quickest actions to turn things around.
